Cawelti Award
Each year, the MWOTRC awards the Cawelti Award, named in honor of Stan Cawelti. Stan was an early member of the club, and was very active. According to a Radio Recall article from 2004:
"He attended almost every meeting, helped in our presentations to the elderly homes and clubs, served as our newsletter editor, and had just been elected vice president."
So, each year the club awards the prize to a club member who has been active in the activities of the club for the previous year. The prize includes the winner's name engraved on a plaque and an engraved Jefferson cup.
